it never snows over here, but everything costs double. Is the trade worth it? I don’t know for sure
Unidentified - 21 Dec 2024 04:43
would you rather have snow like you, or no snow, but prices of everything is double
Unidentified - 21 Dec 2024 04:55
warm weather mostly all year, no snow, but everything costs double, or snow like you

@ Unidentified, Summer. But hitting the bed though. Been up for 22 hours. Starting to see double text here.

@ ikweethetookniet Thanks, but these don’t exactly help me with what I plan on doing regarding porting models; I’m currently tinkering with an XNALara model that’s in different "pieces" LOL
Jappuknees - 21 Dec 2024 05:21
@ Unidentified Maybe, when I get around re-learning Blender first that is LOL
Jappuknees - 21 Dec 2024 05:28
@ Unidentified I’m still learning the ropes, I’m trying to port a model from a DOA5:LR mod that had really nice models of each fem character, though the problem is that they’re in different pieces (like a separate file for head, body, hair)
Jappuknees - 21 Dec 2024 05:30
I’ve been researching for quite a while now on how it works, and I’m a little lost on where to start; majority of the helpful resources are old and "too long" (as in they’re videos that span almost an hour long)
Unidentified - 21 Dec 2024 05:33
animators just load all the parts and combine them in sfm or gmod, I assume
Unidentified - 21 Dec 2024 05:34
The parts are seperate because they would take up too much memory if they were one piece
Jappuknees - 21 Dec 2024 05:39
@ Unidentified Yeah I get that, though if I do plan on shipping it to SFM or GMod I have to essentially "stitch" them together
Jappuknees - 21 Dec 2024 05:40
And man, I don’t know how to apply textures on this, I do have the texture files including the normals but I don’t know how to port ’em over to Blender
Jappuknees - 21 Dec 2024 05:44
@ Unidentified Was thinking of porting the model over to GMod since it’s something I’m accustomed to already, but I forgot the many rules regarding porting into Gmod (like how many bones are needed, if the model is too detailed, etc.)
Jappuknees - 21 Dec 2024 05:57
@ Unidentified Yeah, the only difference is the lack of a physics model iirc
Jappuknees - 21 Dec 2024 06:22
@ Unidentified GMod has it obviously, but more emphasis is given towards ragdolls; at least from how I remember it
