I would love to support artists, but I won’t when they use Patreon. Over the years I have come to reject the service and their bullshit.

@ Undyingbroccoli, Seen a lot of artists having their content removed, and Patreon almost never responds. They run the thing on a whim. We allow this. We don’t allow this. And people who spent years building up a fan base are left in the dirt with no explanation at all. Also their crackdown on NSFW material. Not sure how effective it is, but they lick their investors in the ass instead of supporting the bread and butter that is the users.

Are more reasons that made me resent the site over the years. Too much to go into here. I want to support the people, just not that site. Hear good things about SubscribeStar.adult and GoFander (low fee)...

Just spread your work around. Give the paying people a choice and you will benefit from it.

@ Rastifan, Patreon is easy and accessible. Their stand on NSFW-content, sure. But every website that grows too large will probably face backlashes like these.

People know what Patreon is, and knows it is safe to link your paypal to it, and so on. And I know it is safe as well

Mightnetworks for example, never heard of. I know about 4 sites linked on that list. And at least three of them does not work for porting GMod models. Gumroad is one of them for example

I much prefer the very slow trickle of free releases as models get developed but I know not everyone is in a position to do that, and I think that’s more a general art/video thing than for models. It’s also not hard to just wait a while for model releases to stack and then toss a sub in to get them.

Used to beta test a lot of models back in the day. This was always annoying. "Link to the model please" The answer was always no. If I shared it, the modelers would never trust me again. If you can’t afford the measly 15 dollars Broccoli is asking for his hard work, you just have to go without.

And he have contributed to DE with free models, so support him if you can. Not much to ask.
