If it ever happens to you, you must delete all files named "eye-reflection-cubemap-" prior of this update. And it will work back.

I wish we got more control over what updates we have, in both game and workshop too. That’d prevent so many issues, especially since there just seems to be a lot of unwanted ones that always break things.

A guy on bsky.social asked me where Facepunch had gone. He found some old model releases links with my name on it. Was after the Alyx models. He hadn’t been on FP since 2010 he told me. This is the equivalent of sleeping through the entire ice age and crawling out into at thawing world.

I would love to support artists, but I won’t when they use Patreon. Over the years I have come to reject the service and their bullshit.

@ Undyingbroccoli, Seen a lot of artists having their content removed, and Patreon almost never responds. They run the thing on a whim. We allow this. We don’t allow this. And people who spent years building up a fan base are left in the dirt with no explanation at all. Also their crackdown on NSFW material. Not sure how effective it is, but they lick their investors in the ass instead of supporting the bread and butter that is the users.

Mightnetworks for example, never heard of. I know about 4 sites linked on that list. And at least three of them does not work for porting GMod models. Gumroad is one of them for example

I much prefer the very slow trickle of free releases as models get developed but I know not everyone is in a position to do that, and I think that’s more a general art/video thing than for models. It’s also not hard to just wait a while for model releases to stack and then toss a sub in to get them.

Used to beta test a lot of models back in the day. This was always annoying. "Link to the model please" The answer was always no. If I shared it, the modelers would never trust me again. If you can’t afford the measly 15 dollars Broccoli is asking for his hard work, you just have to go without.
